Sonic Timer Handheld

The "Sonic Timer Meter" electronic measuring device by Probotics, Inc. is a handheld computer for measuring sound, light or movement activated sprints or dashes.  The Sonic Timer is completely wireless.  It may be used indoors or out, and requires no calibration. Beyond just measuring speed alone, the multiple forms of activation are useful for gauging an athletes reaction to both visual and audio stimuli.  Easy to use and portable, the coach or trainer gets an immediate measurement of speed accurate to 1/100th of a second.  Also, with the optional Jump Mat, the Sonic Timer executes all the same measurements of the "Just Jump or Just Run" handheld computer including vertical jump height, time lateral movement, and measure explosive leg power.

Timely feedback gives a competitive edge

Whatever the application both player, coach and/or trainer gets instant feedback and motivation to train harder to increase speed, sharpen reactions to audio, and visual stimuli, increase vertical jump height, and develop explosive leg power.  Many sports organizations and coaches recognize performance information gives a competitive advantage and results in increased performance from their athletes.  With the Sonic Timer, you can now receive accurate measurements and readings for your particular drill application.  This is an excellent tool for measuring plyometric training progress as well.

whistleStart on Sound - In this mode the runner begins to run and the Sonic Timer starts timing the instant a loud sound (such as shouting "GO!" or blowing a whistle) is picked up by the built in microphone.  The Sonic Timer is intelligent enough to compensate for the time it takes the sound to travel from the source to the runner.

starting lightStart on Light - In this mode the runner begins to run and the Sonic Timer starts timing the moment a pulse of light is emitted by the computer.

starting blocksStart on Movement - In this mode the Sonic Timer begins to time the runner when his/her hand or foot has been lifted from the switch pad at the starting position.  When the runner passes a Sonic beam the timing will stop.
